Seneca Valley picked up two wins at The Challenge Fall Shootout (October 3, 2026), edging Atholton 50-47 and defeating Dunbar of Washington, D.C., 59-51.
The Eagles received contributions from Marques Thomas, Xzavier Mabone and Kingston Neequaye, whose different offensive strengths helped Seneca Valley finish the event unbeaten.
Marques Thomas Attacks the Basket
Thomas averaged eight points per game across the two contests. He attacked the basket and created his own shot, while also showing comfort in the midrange.

His ability to get into the lane gave Seneca Valley a scoring option beyond its perimeter shooting.
Xzavier Mabone Directs the Offense
Mabone helped organize the Eagles’ offense and pushed the pace in transition. He paired steady decision-making with timely baskets, contributing as both a facilitator and a scorer.

His floor leadership was part of a successful weekend for an offense that produced 50 points against Atholton and 59 against Dunbar.
Kingston Neequaye Adds Perimeter Shooting
Neequaye contributed from beyond the arc, giving Seneca Valley another option on the perimeter. His three-point shooting complemented Thomas’ work off the dribble and Mabone’s ability to lead the offense.

The two wins gave the Eagles a productive fall outing, with contributions from players who could attack the basket, direct the offense and connect from outside.
